Abstract
Background
Elevated nocturnal home blood pressure (BP) has been reported to be associated with increased risk for cardiovascular disease (CVD). Masked hypertension defined by home BP monitoring is also a strong risk factor for adverse CVD outcomes. However, no study has investigated the association between office-masked nocturnal hypertension defined by home BP monitoring and CVD events risk.

Abstract
Background/Introduction
Automated office blood pressure measurements (AOBPM) is recommended for the diagnosis of arterial hypertension. Nevertheless, use of automated office blood pressure in monitoring of treated patients with hypertension is limited by the discrepancies between AOBPM, auscultatory and research grade measurements of blood pressure. The treatment targets using AOBPM are not well-determined.

Due to the inherent metals (Cu, As and Cr) in preserved wood waste (CCA-treated wood waste) that pose a risk to both the environment and human health, it is crucial to dispose of CCA-treated wood properly. Carbon materials have received widespread attention for their high porosity, renewability and simplicity of fabrication. This work presents a simple and effective process for producing carbon materials from leftover CCA-treated wood (chromated copper arsenate). Utilizing CCA-treated wood deriv
Diabesity is a neologism that we use to describe Type 2 diabetes mellitus in the context of obesity. In this descriptive review, we aim to analyze the phenomenon of diabesity in the context of the Yucatecan Maya population, given the demographic importance of this ethnic group in Mexico and due to the high prevalence of diabetes and obesity observed in this group. Firstly, we describe the phenotypic and genotypic traits associated with diabesity. We also discuss the role of the sociocultural fac
In this study, the effect of methanol extracts of three different genotypes (Narlısaray, Kavacık, Maltepe) of Cannabis sativa L. on Diuraphis noxia Kurdjumov, Myzus persicae (Sulzer) and Aphis fabae (Scopoli) (Hemiptera: Aphididae) were investigated. In the first stage of the study, 10% concentrations of each cannabis extract were applied on the 2nd and 3rd nymphal stages of aphid species by spraying method. After the end of 24 - 48 and 72 hours of the applications, the alive and dead individual
