O USO DO CANABIDIOL NO TRATAMENTO DA ACNE (2025)

Acne is a disease that affects a large part of the population, and its treatment requires different strategies. Currently, the search for natural alternatives for topical treatments has grown worldwide. The Cannabis sativa plant became known for being used to obtain the sensations of excitement and relaxation that the substances from its flowers are capable of providing. One of these is Cannabidiol, a non-psychoactive compound that has several therapeutic properties. This study consisted of a re

DETERMINING THE THERMAL TRANSMITTANCE COEFFICIENT OF THE OPAQUE FAÇADE WALL ELEMENT USING NON-INVASIVE METHOD (2024)

<p>Prior to building retrofitting, thermal performance assessment of the building is essential. An adequate assessment can provide useful insights to heat-losses and envelope anomalies i.e. thermal bridges, mold, air infiltration etc. The most important physical quantity that needs to be defined is the thermal transmittance (U-value) which is the key factor in determining the transmission heat loss coefficient HT, as well as in determining the building's energy efficiency.

Comparison of experimental and calculated thermal transmittance for timber‐framed outer wall constructions (2024)

AbstractThe importance of accurately determining the thermal transmittance factor for the outer walls of timber‐framed buildings is the driving force behind this research. This calculation is necessary for heating and cooling load determination, as well as energy consumption assessment. This research aims to conduct an analytical comparison, through both experimental and calculated means, of thermal conductivity coefficients of materials employed in the construction of buildings and structures.

Radiolysis of composite polypropylene/hemp fibers (2024)

Abstract This paper presents the results of the research on the effects of ionizing radiation on the properties of a composite material consisting of polypropylene (PP) and hemp fibers (HFs). The radiolysis effects were investigated for the composites having HF contents in the amounts of 10, 20, 30, and 40% by weight, as well as for pure PP. Particular attention was paid to the protective effects the aromatic compounds contained in the HF had on the radioly

Intraocular Pressure Changes in the Contralateral Eye After Glaucoma Surgery (2021)

Précis: Glaucoma surgery in 1 eye can result in significant intraocular pressure (IOP) elevation in the fellow eye in a significant percentage of subjects. This effect is more pronounced following glaucoma drainage device implantation and in subjects developing postoperative hypotony in the first eye. Purpose: The aim was to investigate the course and magnitude of IOP changes in contralateral eyes following glaucoma surgery.
